Experience the power and passion of acclaimed tenor Michael Fabiano who is in demand at the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Covent Garden and Wiener Staatsoper. He is famous for his intense performances and commanding stage presence. In the one night only concert, he will perform some of his most passionate arias joined by other GO professional artists with piano accompaniment.
Elixir of Love
Donizetti’s charming comedy is about a wide eyed country boy in love with the mayor’s daughter, so what setting could be better than a small farming town in the old west? In this ingenious update, the naive Nemorino believes that a love potion will win Adina’s heart. Blossoming from a shy cowboy to a plucky entrepreneur, he captures both his sweetheart and the American dream over the course of this delightful opera buffa.
The colorful touring opera production features nationally renowned artists, chamber orchestra and sets. English subtitles will be provided.
This production is in partnership with the Punta Gorda Symphony.

Dive into this riveting journey across time and genres as we celebrate our 10th year with highlights from past performances and a glimpse of what’s to come. Join us for a musical voyage featuring favorite GO artists performing great melodies from opera to popular 60’s-70’s classic hits by the Beatles and others.
Gala Package patrons then move on to The Club at the Strand for an elegant gala dinner. Gala Package includes Premium Concert Tickets, a “Meet the Artists” Reception and Dinner. A new addition this year is an exciting after party with dancing in the Charleston Room!
Turandot
The final work by the beloved Italian composer, Puccini, is well-known to modern audiences thanks to opera’s most famous aria, “Nessun Dorma” which has been rendered by everyone from Luciano Pavarotti to Aretha Franklin and Jackie Evanco.
In this fantasy fable setting filled with exotic splendor, Prince Calaf falls in love at first sight with the Ice Princess of Turandot. She requires all her suitors to answer three riddles correctly, all who fail are beheaded. The grandest GO opera production to date ends the 10th Anniversary season.
