Alexandra Halchak

Soprano

Alexandra Halchak is an accomplished American lyric coloratura soprano renowned for her powerful and dynamic interpretations of classic operatic roles. A graduate of Florida State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2019, Alexandra has rapidly gained recognition for her portrayals of Gilda in Rigoletto, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, and her signature role, Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte. Her versatility as a performer has led her to global stages, with standout performances at Opera San José in the USA, the Oper im Berg Festival in Salzburg, Austria, and the Three Bridges Festival in Scotland, among others. Her voice, described as both agile and luminous, has made her a sought-after performer in demanding coloratura roles.

In addition to her stage work, Alexandra has received numerous accolades, including the coveted “Mozart Prize” at the 2023 Grandi Voci Competition in Salzburg, Austria. She has studied under esteemed directors and vocal coaches such as Maestro Hans Härle and soprano Kathryn Lewek, further honing her craft in European opera studios, including the Berlin Opera Studio and Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. Her dedication to her art and her passion for storytelling through music continue to shape her burgeoning career, making her a rising star in opera.
