As You Like It — A Wonderful Start!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the January 20 performance of As You Like It. The evening was filled with laughter, soaring voices, and beloved music — a perfect celebration of Opera to Broadway, with a twist!

Audiences delighted in a vibrant mix of opera scenes and Broadway favorites, proving once again why As You Like It is one of GO most beloved concert series.

This intimate concert celebrates the genius of William Shakespeare through scenes inspired by his plays, including Verdi’s Otello and Macbeth, Gounod’s Romeo and Juliette, Thomas’ Hamlet, alongside showstoppers from West Side Story. Performed by nationally recognized opera artists in the acoustically rich Daniels Pavilion, the evening promises stirring melodies and theatrical charm, bringing the emotional depth of Shakespeare’s characters to life through song.

An elegant dinner-and-concert experience at Marco Island’s private Hideaway Beach Club. A quartet of nationally recognized opera singers will perform favorite arias, duets, and classic musical theater scenes — all with a Shakespearian twist.

Guest artists include heroic tenor Edward Brennan, returning after his acclaimed performance as the Prince in Rusalka, accompanied by Maestro Gregory Buchalter at the piano. Before the performance, guests will enjoy an elegant dinner with complimentary wine and light entertainment.
