Collier Community Foundation Grant Helps GO Overcome State Funding Cuts
Dear Friends of Gulfshore Opera,
We are thrilled to share exciting news! Gulfshore Opera has received a $30,000 Special Arts & Culture Relief grant from the Collier Community Foundation. This funding is crucial as we navigate the impact of Governor DeSantis’s recent veto of the $32 million fund for cultural and museum grants, which left us with a significant gap.
This grant greatly aids our ambitious Season 11 events and productions as we prepare to present community concerts at venues like The Strand, Hideaway Beach Club, Grey Oaks, and Artis–Naples. We will also stage Lucia di Lammermoor at Artis–Naples on May 2nd, 2025, and Rusalka at the Norris Center on March 27th, 2025. Additionally, the grant will assist our expanding Harmony Choir after-school program, benefiting over 75 at-risk youth in Collier County.

“We were elated to receive this grant! Its timely arrival ensures diverse cultural enrichment for the whole county,” said Steffanie Pearce, General Director.
We ask that you join or renew your membership in Gulfshore Opera’s Maestro Club to support the company and protect its activities. Our goal for the 2024-25 Fall Campaign is $135,000. GO has reached $90,000 with this generous CCF grant and the pledges/donations we have already received or pledged. We hope you can help us make up the difference!
