Matthew White

Tenor

American tenor Matthew White, praised by the New York Times for his “attractive, healthy voice,” will perform leading roles in the 2024-2025 season, including Verdi’s Don Carlo at Royal Danish Opera, Prince Vassily in Khovanshchina at Salzburg Easter Festival, and Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca with Cincinnati Opera. Concert engagements include performances of Aaron Zigman’s Émigré and a gala with Gulfshore Opera. White’s recent performances include roles in Carmen, La traviata, Madama Butterfly, and Rigoletto. He is the winner of several vocal competitions, including the Grand Prize at the Gerda Lissner International Vocal Competition and the Deborah Voigt Competition.

Rebecca Luttio

Mezzo-soprano

Rebecca Luttio, a mezzo-soprano from Seattle, began her musical journey in dance with the Pacific Northwest Ballet, later transitioning to opera during her studies at St. Olaf College and New England Conservatory. She has performed leading roles with Chicago Opera Theater, Florida Grand Opera, and Castleton Festival under Lorin Maazel. Currently based in Minneapolis, Rebecca frequently performs in concerts and local opera productions, earning acclaim for her warm vocal color and commanding stage presence. Notably, she was a Semifinalist in the 2024 Covent Garden Opera Competition and praised for her performance in The Cunning Housewife by The Boston Musical Intelligencer.

Susanne Burgess

Soprano

Metropolitan Opera soprano Susanne Burgess is praised for her warm vocal color, legato line, dramatic fioratura, and engaging emotional expression. She was born in Geneva, Switzerland, and moved to Austin, Texas at 14. This year, Susanne returns to the Met as Frasquita in Carmen, following her debut as Countess Ceprano in Rigoletto. She recently performed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with the Atlanta Opera, La Rondine at the Southern Illinois Music Festival, and Dear Erich with the New York City Opera. She sang Musetta in La Bohème and was awarded a Career Grant from the Gerda Lisner Foundation in New York.
